Portage County Knights of Columbus Impacts Coleman Pregnancy Center

For over ten years, the Knights of Columbus of Portage County has led in fundraising efforts supporting Coleman Pregnancy Center. This is truly a labor of love. With true compassion, the Knights of Columbus of Portage County have helped so many mothers and babies receive maternal support, counseling, diapers, clothing, formula and other essentials that can become daunting expenses for a new mom. Over the past 10 years, the Knights have held annual fundraisers that have raised over $75,000 which has gone directly to care for new mothers and their babies. The need for this care continues to grow in our community and Coleman Pregnancy Center will continue to provide this care regardless of the mother’s ability to pay.

This year the Portage County Knights of Columbus raised over $8,000 for Coleman Pregnancy Center.  The raffle drawing was held on May 10th and streamed live on Coleman Pregnancy Center’s Facebook page.  Lucky winners were drawn for three cash prizes of $1000, $500, and $250!  The Knights had three generous donors cover the cash prizes so the Pregnancy Center received all the proceeds.  Thank you to all who purchased raffle tickets. And a very special thank you to the leadership of Hugh and Alice Ickes, Tom and Sue Freeman, Deacon Tim DeFrange, Frank Smith, Mike Sweeney, and Michel Heroux for your leadership in ticket sales.  Your dedication to the young mothers of Portage County is remarkable.
