New Format Allows Supporters from Near and Far to Participate in Event

KENT, OH, September 14, 2020 – This year’s Right at Home Fundraiser, to support Coleman Professional Services, will be unlike any event the organization has held before: it will be entirely virtual. The virtual format will enable anyone who is passionate about supporting mental health services in their community to attend the auction and make a difference.

“We’re excited about this new virtual format,” said Coleman Professional Services CEO Nelson Burns. “Access to our services is more important than ever and funds raised from this event help Coleman continue to foster recovery, build independence and change the lives of the clients we serve.”

This year’s event will feature a FREE, week-long auction from September 17th to September 24th, during which participants may bid on a variety of items, including unique artwork, jewelry, prize baskets, and distinct experiences. A live, wrap-up celebration will take place at 7pm on September 24th hosted by WKSU radio personality, Mark Pennell.

Event Highlights

“This year, we have an eclectic mix of fabulous pieces from local artists and one-of-a-kind trips and experiences that will have broad appeal,” said Right at Home Committee Chair Stephanie Fowler.

Among the art that’s up for bidding is a drawing by the late Jance Lentz, a longtime friend of Coleman; a mixed media canvas by local legend, Robert Wood; and a framed giclee print by local award-winning artist, Tom Jackson.

In addition to these special pieces, exclusive experiences are also included in the auction. Most notably are two, seven-night stays at private oceanfront villas in Manzanillo, Mexico, where the winning bidders can enjoy a private beach, jet skiing, zip lining, snorkeling, and much more! Another exceptional experience is a half-day sporting clay session for three at the exclusive Hill N Dale Club.

Other items, such as raffle tickets, will be available for purchase prior to the event. Prices range from $20 apiece for the ever-popular Wall of Wine tickets to $25 for a “Stock the Bar” Basket. A beautiful oil painting by Ben Basham will also be raffled off for $50 per ticket.

All funds raised from Right at Home will support Coleman Professional Services.

While the Right at Home auction is free, bidders must register. To register, donate or learn more, visit ColemanServices.org/RAH2020.
