On November 1, 2019, Coleman Data Solutions (CDS) welcomed Scott Wiley as only its second chief officer in more than thirty years. Coleman Data Solutions, a certified state-use nonprofit organization located in Akron provides cost-effective and compliant data conversion and document management solutions.

Mr. Wiley is new to the nonprofit world, having spent much of his career in the sales and marketing arena at Avery Dennison, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, MTD Products, Hoover, and American Greetings. New to the behavioral health field, Scott brings a fresh perspective to Coleman Data Solutions, a document management and data entry business, located in Akron. According to Wiley, approximately 75% of their workforce has a documented disability.

When asked why someone would hire CDS, Wiley stated, “The benefit to those hiring us is our ability to develop a custom solution to fit their needs. We work with each customer to create secure, simplified retrieval of their data, allowing them to make better business decisions, and potentially increasing their overall productivity.”

Truly a win-win to both employee and customer.

Mr. Wiley has three significant areas of focus in 2020.

  1. Engage his more than 100 employees, making sure they understand the organization’s core values and their place in the organization.
  2. Grow the business by increasing the overall lead opportunities via relationship building and website improvements.
  3. Beef up their visibility and social media presence, especially on LinkedIn.

Scott lives in Medina with his wife and family. He stays active through running, hiking, and overnight backpacking. He’s hiked parts of the Appalachian Trail, as well as trails in Europe and South America.
