Burns Residential Campaign

Help Us End Homelessness

  Nelson Suzanne Burns

Last year, Nelson Burns celebrated 30 years at the helm of Coleman Professional Services! To honor his great achievement, Nelson and his wife, Suzanne, matched  $30,000 in contributions to support the ending of homelessness through permanent supportive housing.

This year, Coleman Professional Services is striving to match last year's accomplishment by generating another $60,000 to support Coleman's effort to end homelessness through permanent and supportive housing.

Coleman currently has 2 funds dedicated to this cause:

William and Arlene Burns Residential Endowment
This endowment honors Bill and Arlene Burns, Nelson's parents, who have devoted their lives to helping others. Since its creation in 1994, the endowment has generated over $100,000 to help fund the building of supportive living environments and other permanent housing options for individuals with mental illness.

Burns Family Residential Fund
Created in 2015 by Nelson and Suzanne Burns, this fund provides support such as emergency utility payments and rent subsidies to tenants of Coleman living spaces to insure that housing for all is stable, permanent, and secure.

"In 30 years, we've built more than 200 permanent living spaces for our clients. Most recently, we've renovated the Phoenix Building in Ravenna, and built Union Square in Lima to add 34 apartments. But our work is not done. Please join Suzanne and me in our quest to end homelessness."     - Nelson Burns
