Housing Services Providing Safe Housing Options Housing services at Coleman Behavioral Health can involve the following: Housing placement services to assist in accessing safe, decent, affordable housing Assistance with funds for utility connections, security deposits and past due bills Assistance with rental subsidy – short and long term Some of the funds that we can access are location specific and some of the funds are only for homeless persons. The homeless definition is as follows: Person coming from an emergency shelter or domestic violence shelter Person coming from a place not meant for human habitation Person coming from the streets Person coming from a transitional housing program where their homelessness was documented prior to admission to the transitional housing program In order to receive assistance, people must be engaged in treatment and have a mental health diagnosis. Children who are severely emotionally disabled can also make a household eligible for assistance. Housing services are available in Allen, Auglaize, Hardin, Portage and Trumbull Counties.
