Personal Care Assistance

What is Adult Day Care?

At Coleman Adult Day Services, we strive to presrve dignity and encourage independence. Over time, individuals with dementia slowly become less able to take care of themselves. At first, a person may only need prompting or a little help, but eventually caregivers may become responsible for all personal care.

We understand that loss of independence and privacy can be very difficult for a person with dementia. Many of our clients require assistance in carrying out their normal Activities of Daily Living (ADL).

A personal care assistant will work with nursing staff to provide personal care assistance, which can include eating, grooming, incontinence care, toileting, transferring and moving from place to place. By providing assistance with personal care needs, we hope to help each client achieve a renewed sense of pride and self-esteem.

In order to help meet the needs of our clients, Coleman Adult Day Services employs direct care staff at a 6:1 client to staff ratio with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Professional Nurses (LPNs) as care providers who are available as needed.

If it’s time to address your loved ones’ changing daily personal care needs, give us a call at 330-296-3214 or email us at to schedule your free no-obligation tour and initial consultation with one of our licensed nurses.
