The hours will be Monday through Friday, approximately 20 hours per week. The activities include: one-to-one peer support and working with people transitioning from the criminal justice system to the community. Encourage peers to become self-directed, focus on their strengths, and life goals. The peer support specialist must be mindful of the ethics, boundary, power and control issues unique to peer supporters. Must have a high school diploma and have completed required state peer support training program. Preferred: Lived experience within the mental health field.
