Position Description

Coleman Professional Services, a nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs, is seeking  social worker or counseling individuals to become Crisis Counselors and provide acute behavioral health and crisis response services in Stark county. Duties include: 

  • Offer trauma-informed behavioral health interventions to foster crisis resolution
  • Triage, engagement, and assessment utilizing the Pathway Model
  • Service navigation and linkage, follow-on care, and family and community stakeholder collaboration
  • Emergency mental health evaluations
  • Diagnostic assessments
  • Crisis interventions

In addition to the above, this is a midnight shift position which also offers supportive services to both general population and persons with a behavioral health and substance use disorders of all ages.  Must be willing to work holidays on a rotating basis.  Must have a Master’s Degree and an Ohio license as LSW or LPC; excellent customer service skills; clean driving record; and one-year crisis or mental health experience (includes internship or paid  work).  Must have an NPI number and Ohio Medicaid number. Needed shifts are afternoons or midnights.
