Position Description

Coleman Professional Services (CPS) is a nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs to foster recovery, build independence, and change destinies for individuals, families, and businesses in our community.  We are seeking a Controller to oversee the accounting operations of the company, including the production of financial reports, maintaining an adequate system of accounting records, developing budgets, and managing a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. 

The Controller also supervises and develops a team of Accountants and is responsible data analytics/data mining, including developing dashboards. This position also performs cash management, such as monitoring daily cash balances, monitoring investment performance, and projecting cash needs. 

Qualified candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in an accounting and/or finance function with at least a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (or closely related field) plus supervisory and management experience in a team-oriented environment. An in-depth working knowledge of accounting systems (A/P, A/R, Billing, and General Ledger) is required, as is experience in accounting of for-profit and non-profit healthcare organizations with multiple divisions. Due to potential growth, candidates must have experience with mergers and acquisitions and the accounting treatment. Finally, candidates must possess technical skills, including computer literacy with spreadsheets, databases, data analytics, and data mining and programming; advanced experienced with Microsoft products, including Excel and Word; and experience with a SQL-based general ledger accounting system and other ERP systems and platforms.
